Educator Workshop: Summer Secondary Chemistry Institute

Description: The Summer Secondary Science Institutes are one- or two-week workshops on science content and classroom experiments and techniques for high school teachers. None is a prerequisite for any other.

The Summer Secondary Chemistry Institute will provide participants with the opportunity to align their chemistry instruction with the three dimensions of the Next Generation Science Standards. Master teachers will lead discussion and activities designed to engage students in the crosscutting concepts and science & engineering practices of the NGSS in order to teach high school chemistry content. Each teacher will leave the workshop with two, NGSS aligned, chemistry units of instruction.
