Science Adventure: Making Waves with Medical Imaging

Audience: Students , Grades 4 - 6 (In or Completed)
Description:For students completing Grades 4-6. How can waves tell doctors what they need to know about things they can’t see inside our bodies? You’ll explore advanced technologies such as MRI, PET and X-Ray imaging. Do hands-on activities to help you learn how waves are used in these technologies so doctors can get pictures of the inside our bodies. Learn about careers in this field. Students over 10 will visit the Fermilab Neutron Therapy Facility. Bring your lunch.
